My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Donations Needed: Please help us to provide the care needed to help this sweet girl. She deserves
a better life, as she was dropped off at a shelter after her owner passed away and the son didn't
care about her or want anything to do with taking responsibility for her needs.

My name is Chrissy and I am a buff, cocker spaniel girl, about 6 years old. My owner died recently and my brother, Dusty 2 and I were taken to a NC shelter by his son, who didn't want us. We also had another doggie pal, but our owner's Mother decided to keep her and she didn't want 3 dogs. Not one other person of the family wanted us or would take responsibility for us. The shelter was scary and we were there for awhile, but then these nice CCR folks came to get us and brought us here to the rescue so that we can have a better life and get a good home.

I am heartworm negative and the vet found that I need a dental. I have chronic dry eye, so I am now on medication to help this issue and overall, I am not in the best health. At the shelter, we probably didn't get adopted out due to ear, skin and coat issues, so I am now on a hypo-allergenic dog food to see if this helps my problem. I am a bit overweight, so the vet told these nice folks that I need to lose a few pounds. I am a good girl and I will do best in a calm home environment. My brother and I are adjusting well to being here at the rescue, but we both hope to find our new forever homes and someone to love us again real soon.

Please donate to my care so that CCR can continue to care for me as needed. Since I have been here at the rescue, my expenses have been a lot of money for a rescue, as I was critical and just trying to survive. Thanks to you & your kind donations to help these rescue folks, I am doing much better. I do still have some skin/coat issues, but overall I am much better than I was from being sick with pneumonia. Please continue to donate to my care, and thank you so much for caring about me!

If interested in adopting one of our wonderful furbabies, please email: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes all the vetting and medical needs for the dog.
