My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Dusty 2 and I am a buff, cocker spaniel boy, about 6 years old. My owner died recently and my sister, Chrissy and I ended up in a NC shelter. We also had another doggie pal, but our owner's Mother decided to keep her and she didn't want 3 dogs. Not one other person of the family wanted us or would take responsibility for us. The shelter was scary and we were there for awhile, but then these nice CCR folks came to get us and brought us to rescue so that we can have a better life and get a good home.

I have been to the vet and I am updated on shots and heartworm negative. I do have some major ear, skin and coat problems, so I am now on a hypo-allergenic dog food to see if it can help clear up this issue. I also have dry eye, but it is not real bad and is currently being treated with over the counter eye drops from the store. I badly need a dental done and I am overweight, so I am now on a diet to lose a few pounds and I have some problems with the pads of my feet. This issue could be food related and might just need time to heal because of being on a better food, or maybe it might require medication. I am a good boy and so far my sister and I are adjusting to rescue life pretty well. I do hope to find a new forever home and someone to love me again, but right now these nice CCR folks will just try to work on the issues I have and try to make me feel more comfortable real soon.
