My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Copper!

This wonderful 1.5 year old Cattle dog/Husky mix, named after her beautiful colouring, is a very gentle, calm and laid back girl. She weighs just over 40lbs.
Copper came to us after being found as a stray at a recent spay/neuter clinic that New Hope attended. She has learned many new and exciting things since coming to her foster home - she's a great companion on regular walks and does very well on leash, she's house-trained and is quiet and content in her crate (in fact, she'll hang out in it if you leave the door open for her!). She also loves her dog bed - wherever her bed is, she is. She will lounge on it all day long if you let her! Copper has also discovered that she enjoys the adventure of a car ride, and she does quite well in the vehicle.
Best of all though, Copper adores other dogs of all sizes and ages. Her fun-loving and goofy nature truly shines when she is able to run around and play with other dogs - she's incredibly agile, and can turn on a dime. For this reason, we would love to see Copper go to a home where there is at least one other dog so she can continue to learn, come out of her shell and, of course, play!
Copper would love a home where her people can continue to teach her new and exciting things, and who can be patient with her, as many experiences for her can sometimes be a bit overwhelming at first. That being said, she mastered the vet visit, bath and nail trim like a pro!
Copper is incredibly gentle, curious, and sweet, and her foster mom thinks she has the best ears and most expressive face. If this beauty seems like a good fit, please apply to meet her
