Gawain's Story...
Gawain is a 20-week-old Australian Shepherd mix (maybe with hound?). He and his littermate (Percival, also available) were given to the grandkids as gifts when they came for the summer. When the kids left to go back to school, the puppies were dropped off at the shelter. Gawain is shy at first but warms up quickly. Expected to be big when grown, 60+lbs as an adult.

If you have the time, energy, and patience for a puppy, and you think Gawain may be the perfect fit for your family, please fill out an application today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gawain, a Reno Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Reno, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Reno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reno paves the way for another one to be saved.
