My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS LITTLE MISS CORIE....and she is as sweet as she is cute. But don't let that "pretty miss" fool you -- she is tomboy thru and thru! She loves to rough and tumble with the other dogs! This cream colored, 11 lb, 2 yr old, Shih Tzu babygirl came from the San Bernardino Devore Shelter. When she arrived, she stayed in Palm Springs (lucky girl) for a bit to get over her fearfulness and her kennel cough, very common with this shelter. How would YOU like to be dumped in a foreign place with dogs barking all around you? She did settle down pretty quickly, because she knew she was in a loving foster home. Once she was transported to LA, we noticed that she was walking awkwardly and when we took Xrays, learned that she had hip dysplasia! So, little Corie had surgery on both sides of her hips in the last three months and now she is ready to go to her forever home! This little kissy face girl loves to play with other dogs, but not with cats! We don't think she would be great with young kids, as she did come to the shelter quite fearful and jerky movements might frighten her but over 8 would be fine! She is a happy dog and her tail never stops wagging!! And, her potty training skills were good at her foster home, but no promises at yours!! She would be best in a home where there is another playful dog and a family who can love her to pieces -- something she richly deserves. Corie loves to go on walks (and needs to walk to build up her muscles), play and be played with. She likely would not be ideal for a senior home, although she can be mellow at times. Most of the time, she is quite active. This is a wonderful little girl who deserves a wonderful life! Might that be with you?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Most every Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Century City Mall (10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles 90067 behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros) from 12-4pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
