Maggie's Story...
Wonderful Maggie, such an amazing girl! This beautiful medium sized female Shepherd cross came to us as a stray from a remote community with no veterinarian access. She was suffering horribly with a terrible eye infection/inflammation and a condition called Entropion, where the eyelashes rub on the eyeball. We have been treating her for the infection and inflammation and will determine her following treatment soon. Though in unspeakable pain, Maggie was so accepting and sweet through everything! Now that she is feeling better, she has really come out of her shell and is showing her true happy puppy personality!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Winnipeg German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Winnipeg, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Winnipeg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winnipeg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winnipeg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winnipeg paves the way for another one to be saved.
