Elsa's Story...
Elsa and Sadie need a new home quickly. Their owner is moving to FL from TN to care for her elderly mother. The place does not accept large dogs. Elsa is a 10 yr. old golden retriever/boxer mix. She is house trained, great on a leash, loves water - as golden's do! She is good with other dogs and cats. She is in good health. She is spayed, UTD on shots, HW negative and just waiting as the clock tics. We would love the two dogs to be adopted together, however, will adopt individually if necessary.

Elsa is being fostered in east Tennessee and will be transported upon adoption. We use Alpha Dog Transport who has several convenient stops in the New England area. They charge $125 for their services and will also hand off all Elsa's vet records when you claim your pup. An adoption fee of $250 will also apply.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elsa, a Providence Golden Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Boxer for sale in Providence, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
