Schandy's Info...

Schandy's Story...
Schandy is one of a littler of 6 puppies that were found with their mom under a porch in Norman, Oklahoma. The mom is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/pit mix, and the dad is thought to be a border collie/lab mix that lives in the neighborhood where they were found. We think they will be about 50 lbs when they are fully grown. Babies are weaned and about 9 weeks old as of the beginning of September 2013, and they and their mom are ready for new homes!

Schandy is very smart and while playful, is one of the calmest of the litter! She looks like a little border collie, dark brown with white, and she will have longer fur that will require some upkeep. She is super sweet! (Shown snuggling with her brother Marshall.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Schandy, a Norman Catahoula Leopard Dog/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Border Collie for sale in Norman, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Norman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norman paves the way for another one to be saved.
