Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barkley came to us in the nick of time! He was scheduled to be euthanized. Jack Russell's are a breed that require plenty of exercise and training. When they do not receive this, they can get out of control and usually end up becoming biters. Barkley was unfortunately wasn't properly exercised or taught properly, he really felt he had to protect his family and become a biter. Since joining us, he's done really well learning his place within a family and that he doesn't need to be that protector.
Barkley has been learning proper dog social skills and has been doing great if the introductions are done properly.
This handsome boy has found himself needing a home that understands and is dedicated to providing what he needs. He is very quick to listen and follow instructions as long as you are willing to lead. He does have a few of the common Jack Russell tendencies like barking when people come to the door but he's already showing great improvement in those areas. We are looking for an experienced Terrier owner who would love to provide Marley with the home and life that he so deserves!!
Barkley really loves being with people. He is also learning the fun and joys that comes with simply being a dog. He's opened right up and enjoys meeting new dogs and has even started showing that side of himself with people! He is such a sweet dog that just needed to learn that it isn't his job to protect 24/7, he simply needed the freedom to be a dog. We are so proud of his progress and he will make a great companion for the right person.
