Merlin's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Merlin's Story...
Merlin is a smaller, fawn dobie boy that is probably middle aged. He is such a sensitive sweetie and he needs a home willing to make him feel safe and secure. He would probably be good with older kids but we don't think he would like the energy level of small children. He is good with other dogs (large and small) but he's probably better living in a home with a female dog. Merlin is quiet, easy going, and very well crate trained. He loves having a "den" that makes him feel comfortable. It can be a bed in the corner or even a crate with the door open. Merlin is currently in a foster home but you can meet him at our open house adoptions any Saturday as long as we know you're coming.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merlin, a Fillmore Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Fillmore, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Fillmore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fillmore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fillmore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fillmore paves the way for another one to be saved.
