My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kayla and Kenzie are sweet little girls who have spent their whole lives together and are two pees-in-a-pod. For that reason we believe they should find a home together. From their foster mom: "When one runs in the yard, the other chases to see what her pal found. If one is in your lap or being petted, the other wants to join in the fun. They love rolling in the grass and have recently begun to play with toys. The girls are housebroken. They sleep in a puppy bed next to my bed at night and like to jump up on my bed in the AM for some early morning cuddling - they absolutely love cuddling. If we let them, they would sleep in until mid-morning. They have a moderate activity level. They will run and play when we go on walks, but in the house they are rather chill and just lounge or trot behind you to see what you are up to." They are around 11 pounds and around 3 years old.

All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom & dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.

If you are interested in meeting these dogs please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday December 28, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse located at 2303 Kennedy St. NE, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend.
