Found on the trails of west Altadena where he had been left to fend for himself Rudy is a big, charming 7-year old neutered male with a gentle and calm disposition. This well-socialized dog is friendly with people and enjoys being out and about on walks and excursions. Rudy's other favorite activities include getting belly rubs and rolling in grass. He appreciates other small calm dogs and is currently in a cage-free boarding situation.
Rudy's ideal weight is about 73 pounds and he is almost there. Rudy knows basic commands and walks well on leash (since he is a big dog he would do best with a handler who is comfortable with larger dogs). Rudy would especially love a home where his person or people are home a lot to spend time with him. We think Rudy may have some greyhound, boxer or bully breed in him but he is a classic mutt who has not yet been cat-tested. Up to date on all shots, house-broken, crate-trained and micro-chipped Rudy would be an excellent indoor companion on a farm or for a writer who needs company while penning the next masterpiece.
