McCoy's Story...
Well....McCoy has quite the story to tell. He came from a backyard breeder who breeds Beagles to give to hunting friends. These dogs live in awful conditions and are fed only occasionally. Luckily McCoy was very sick and the man surrendered him to us. McCoy had mange, a double ear infection, respiratory infection, was malnourished.....poor guy was a mess! He is now finally healthy! He will be ready for adoption on 9/25 (still needs shots and to be neutered) This beagle is about 4 months old and only weighs 5 pounds so he should be small - but FULL of personality! If you'd like to spoil this little guy forever just email us! He is in foster care in West TN but we use a great transport company that brings our dogs up the east coast!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McCoy, a Hagerstown Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
