INITIAL BIO 09/02/2013: MEET SCARLETTE! She is reported to be 15 years old and weighs 9lbs; she is being fostered in Mount Pleasant, SC.


Hello! My name is Scarlett. Do y’all remember that great movie “Gone with the Wind”? I was in that. Well, that may be a stretch on my age, but I can see Boone Hall (otherwise known as “Tara” ) from my foster home in South Carolina. Even though they said I am 15 years old and having a little trouble with my eyes and ears, my heart is still full of love.


One day when I was taking a nap, my original mom and dad picked me up and took me to a place were they put me in a small cage, and they left me there. I don’t know what I did. I was there for a long time, maybe 9 days. The smell was awful and there were lots of barking dogs. I was a mess, my pretty hair was all tangled and smelled awful. I was so frightened that I could not stop shaking. Then my Foster Dad came and got me. I was groomed, fed and most of all ~ loved. Things got better from there on.


I would love to have a new home to live out the rest of my life. I am really healthy with lots of love to give. I am a little confused as to why after 15 years I was dropped off at the shelter, but things are better now and I know they will stay that way. Bye for now. I need my beauty rest……….
