My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

River and her siblings were born in early October as a result of an accidental breeding. The elderly couple who had their mother was doing the best they could, but it happened. Then when the pups were three weeks old, their mother died suddenly for an unknown reason, possibly complications having to do with the birth.

The puppies' mother was a Schnauzer mix. We're not sure yet about the father, but he could have been a local beagle. The puppies should be small dogs. River is a beautiful white female with a gorgeous, wiry coat. Her undercoat is black and the hairs are frosted with white - very unusual and beautiful markings.

River will be spayed before adoption if she is old enough, or on a spay contract if not. She is receiving all her puppy shots and worming. River is being crate-trained and we're working on housetraining. She's a very smart and playful pup! Her adoption donation will be $150, 100% of which helps to offset the high cost of rescuing dogs.
