Scout's Story...

Scout   $50 adoption fee
1 year old
Scout was signed over to our shelter when his previous owner was moving and couldn’t take him along. His previous owner did let us know that he has been housebroken, does great with children, likes other dogs and even does well with cats. Scout is a really friendly guy who loves toys! He will bring his toys to you and wait expectantly for you to play with him. He is a very smart guy and would love an active family who can keep up with him. Scout is a fun guy ready for a new start.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Fruit Heights Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Fruit Heights, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Fruit Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fruit Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fruit Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fruit Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
