Dixie-Adopted!'s Story...
Hi my name is Dixie! I'm a four year old female that has been living with my loving foster family that has two young children. I love to play with my toys and my current foster brother puppy. I also love to play with the children in the house who like to steal my toys and make me run to get them back. At night I love to cuddle with my foster mom on the couch or in her bed when she lets me. I love to give kisses and I'm learning how to speak on command. I also know how to sit or lay down when I'm asked. I am house trained and working on not trying to pull my foster family off their feet when I am walking on a leash. I love my foster family, but wouldn't you consider giving me my furever home? I weigh about 40 pounds. Birth date 9/5/11

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie-Adopted!, a Detroit American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Detroit, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
