My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From Abi's foster:  Abi is very much like a 20 pound Chihuahua.  She was traumatized when we acquired her.  She had been a housedog in her previous life and was abandoned at a trailer to survive on her own for over a year.  She was extremely fearful and did not know if it was safe to come out from under the bed or not.  She has come a long way in a short period of time and still has some distance to go. She improves daily but needs someone who is willing to spend a little time to gain her trust.  She watches TV with her over energized friend Becki when they are not playing with each other.  She loves to give you kisses and she gets overly excited, wiggly and waggly,  when she gets affection...   Abi can also be a couch potato and then back to being an energizer bunny.  She will still retreat to her old place under the bed to take her toys and things she wants to keep away from the other dogs.  She is very very housetrained...and can "hold" herself for as long as needed.  She uses a doggy door at my house and will come when called without hesitation.
