Sadie's Story...
Sadie is an Australian Shepherd mix who is a big sweetheart and looking for a home where she can be part of the family. She has spent her whole life living primarily outside and would like a home where she will be allowed to sleep on a nice soft bed inside the house with you. Sadie is so easy going that she would do great with children over 10 who will be gentle with her as she matures and give her lots of love and affection. She could also likely live with a confident cat that won't run away and encourage her to chase after it. A home with some herding breed experience would be ideal since their exercise needs are high and Sadie needs long walks or a nice jog daily. If Sadie is to live with another dog it will need to be a mellow male who won’t test her patience. If you'd like to meet this super affectionate and loyal girl, head up to the front desk to fill out an adoption application so you can meet her. She'd love to give you a lick and say hello!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Bellingham Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
