Lexus's Story...
Google & Lexus were found, together with their mother, "Smooch" on a euthanasia list in a shelter in Georgia. We were able to pull the 3 of them and transport then to Portland to safety and to find a new home for them. Smooth, the mom, is 100% beagle, but we "think" the dad must have been a shepard or mix. The puppies are the size that a typical beagle puppy would be, but they are marked differently than a beagle. These pups are 8 weeks old and ready for adoption! THey have had a round of vaccinations, have been wormed. They do NOT need to be adopted together. They will ONLY be adopted with a SPAY/NEUTER contract which must be performed no later than at age 6 months. If you are interested in one of these adorable pups, please complete the adoption application on line (http://www.cascaderescue.org/adoptapp_west.html). Adoption fee: $350.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexus, a Portland Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
