Zach's Story...
My name is Zach. Short for Prozac - YES, my former family called me Prozac. Not sure why because I am one calm 7 year old pure bred Labrador Retriever - you will EVER meet. Well, maybe that's why - huh - I never thought about it that way, MAYBE they thought I was on prozac. Anyway, I was turned into a shelter because my family could no longer care for me. Good thing too because I have heart worms. AGK has already given me the medicine to get rid of these things and already feeling better. I am really enjoying my foster family - I have the coolest Golden sibling. He is really showing me the ropes like where I can sleep and where my toys are and where I get my breakfast and dinner. I can't wait to find a family for me - that will love me like my foster family loves me. I am a good boy - I know commands, house trained and really get along well with other dogs too. So do you want a handsome Labrador named Zach, AKA Prozac? Slobbers and kisses, Zach.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zach, a White River Junction Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in White River Junction, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in White River Junction.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in White River Junction already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a White River Junction breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in White River Junction paves the way for another one to be saved.
