Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darcy just graduated from the Grafton Correctional Institution's Prison Dog Program. She has spent several months training in obedience, basic commands, manners, house training and proper leash walking and learned her lessons well. This sweet trained girl is now ready and waiting for her new forever home. It's not often you can adopt a trained dog from a shelter. Please don't make her wait too long.
Darcy is a lively and spirited 1.5 year-old Cattledog/Boxer mix female with a beautiful orange brindle coat. Darcy loves playing with other dogs but is very active so can come on a little strong for some dogs. If she's to have a canine companion in her new home, it should be another active young dog who likes to wrestle and play chase. She's very friendly and affectionate with people. After playtime, she does settle nicely in her cage so is not on the go constantly. She'll make a great walking or jogging buddy for an active family who wants a dog that can keep up with them.
If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
