My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Mary Jane and I am 2 years old. My previous owners attempted to drop me off at the shelter; however, the shelter was full and not accepting any animals. So, instead they dropped me off on the side of the road near the shelter. I was so frightened, I sat frozen in the median, watching the cars go by, waiting for my family to come back. As I sat there, I saw other dogs running around. They too had been dropped off, like me. Some of them ran into the woods, and never came back. The longer I sat there; I realized they were not coming back. With tears in my eyes, I cried aloud, come back, whatever I did, I can change, just tell me, don’t leave me!!! I didn’t know what to do or where to go, I felt so alone! Next thing I know, a car stopped and a nice human called for me to come. So, I crawled very slowly up to her and when I was close, she picked me up and put me into the car. She looked over at me and said, “You are safe now, sweet little girl”. I have learned a lot about myself and about life in general, since the day I was rescued. I now know what it’s like to live inside a home and be part of a family. I feel like a puppy again! Everything is fun! My foster mom told me that I am ready for my forever family! I have learned to do my business outside; I play well with other canines, I like to cuddle up to my human friends on the couch. I’ve be told that I am very affectionate and have a sweet disposition. If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please go to www.foreverhome4dogsrescue.com to fill out an adoption application. You can also email foreverhome4dogs@aol.com or call David at 228-219-7974. Hope to hear from you soon, hugs and kisses Mary Jane.
