HERO HAS AN APPLICATION PENDING!!!Hero is an extremely handsome Black Lab mix looking for a new and forever home. This happy-go-lucky, social boy is about 9 months old now and was purchased when he was just an 8 week old pup. He has been very well loved and cared for his entire life, however his owner lost her home and could not bring Hero along to the new place. She tearfully had to surrender him to a shelter in southern IL. Hero was raised with children and does well with them, he also does well with other dogs. He's really a wonderful dog with an ideal temperament and will fit in well with most household. He looks to be mostly Lab, however his tail was docked after an injury so he has an adorable bobbed tail which gives him a unique look. Hero's previous owner reported he was housetrained, but may need a brief refresher after living in a kennel. Hero is currently awaiting rescue/adoption from a kill-shelter in southern IL. We would love to help him out, but all of our foster homes are filled. If interest is shown in him, Hero can be transported to Chicago. He will be fully vetted and prepared for adoption.
