Polar was rescued by the Jackson County (Iowa) Humane Society from death row in Florida but has lingered too long in a facility that is challenging for many dogs, and Polar is a high energy fella who needs a LOT more stimulation than he can get in this facility. He is smart and loves to play, so he needs an adopter who understands the breed and has an active life. He is sweet but will need to be taught manners. While he can be taught to get along with other dogs, he needs to develop confidence and security. He is not unfriendly to children but likes to jump and nip, so they would not be the best combination.
