Asia's Story...
**Can she come for the Holidays? We are offering $25 off of all our dogs' listed adoption fees now through December 31st in hopes of helping them find their new home before the holidays!!**

Asia is a very calm and sweet little girl. She is estimated to be around 1 and a half years old. She is very tiny for a "bully breed," around 35 pounds in a solid, compact little dog. We did run a cheek-swab DNA test on her and she came back as 1/4 pit bull, and a mix of other things, the majority being Boston Terrier. Her full, official DNA report from Wisdom Panel Insights will be provided to her adoptive family!

Asia came to us from a shelter, where she originated as a stray. It seems she has come from a very uncertain past and has not had an easy life. She has some scarring on her that indicates some sort of scuffle with another dog. She is currently being fostered with a 14 week old puppy (Cache who is also available for adoption) and she has completely come out of her shell. She is so tolerant with the puppies and even allows them to chew on her lips, ears, and tongue.

With cats, she doesn't seem to have any previous experience with cats at all and doesn't really pay much attention to them. A little sniffing then walks away. This includes a cat in her foster home running around chasing a golf ball, and she was in no way enticed to chase the cat. This cat also confronts her and rubs up under her nose and she is a little weirded out but doesn't react.

Asia loves kids and while too many kids, in too loud of an atmosphere may make her nervous, the general happy energy of kids seems to make her happy and she is happy for kids to pet her and cuddle her (and some have jumped over her, she didn't care.) She is great with the 5 and 11 year old kids in her foster home.

Asia rides well in the car (you do have to put her in it though, she just hasn't caught on yet), and rides well in the backseat with or without kids. When taken out on a schedule (every 4-6 hours), she has not had any accidents in the house at her foster home. She is sleeping in the crate at night without a problem. Again, you have to put her in the crate, but she's fine in there and quiet.

Throughout the days and evenings she just likes to be wherever the people are and will find a place to sit or lay down near you or snuggle if she can. Asia is a fairly low energy dog, but does need an owner capable of picking her up for things like getting into the car if she's in "nervous mode."

Please keep in mind that Asia is amazingly sweet but started out being unsure of the world around her and may need some time to come out of her shell in a new environment however she seems to warm up really quickly with fellow canine friends around.

If you're interested in adopting Asia, please fill out our online application at www.caninecandor.com/adoption-application.html.

She is spayed, updated on shots and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Asia, a Greeley American Pit Bull Terrier/Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boston Terrier for sale in Greeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Greeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Boston Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
