Rogers's Story...
Meet Rogers. He is hoping that you have your male dogs neutered so they aren’t tempted to go wandering the neighborhood looking for female companionship and get hit by a car. Rogers is considered lucky because he only lost a leg while many others lose their lives. Fortunately Rogers has recovered completely and is ready for a new home where he can go to the dog park for some light exercise and be your TV buddy. He has good potty manners, is 5 yrs old and under 6 lbs. He gets along with pretty much all small pets. If you are interested in adopting Roger, please send in your application found on our website at www.RescueAChi.com and we will contact you about Rogers or any of our other adoptable dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rogers, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
