My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Roger, I am 5 yrs old and although I may seem a little shy at first, I am actually quite the social butterfly. I love meeting new people and pups. I get excited just seeing other dogs and try my hardest to let my foster dad introduce me. As much as I love meeting new dogs, they need to respect my space. Sniffing is fun, but all that running around is not for me. I prefer relaxing and cuddling on the couch to chasing and playing.

I came from a nice family, but they had some young kids and bigger dogs that were too rambunctious for me. I like kids—don’t get me wrong—but they need to be careful of me. I’m just a little guy at 10 lbs! I really hope you will consider me for your new friend. I am very smart and adapt to new settings (and names) quickly, but I will say there is some truth to the saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” I prefer to be with my family at all times, but I don’t mind being in my crate. I am a pretty easy going guy. The only time I put up a fuss is when I am left all alone because it makes me sad.

I had some pretty bad teeth when I came in to the rescue, but the nice doctors helped clean me up. I lost a few teeth which means I need to eat softer foods, but I don’t let that get in the way of my appetite!
