Forrest (courtesy listing) is a sweet boy that was saved from death in the NYC ACC shelter system. Forrest is a one year old, 55 lb stunner. He is brown and white and has gold eyes. If I had to guess, I'd say he was American Bulldog and some type of hound. He is 100% housebroken, crate trained (he can crate all day while you work without a problem!) and is starting to learn his basic obedience. He loves people and dogs and ignores cats. He would love a home where the owners would continue his obedience training as he has a very puppy-like demeanor. He loves to play and cuddle and is a good learner. As much as he likes to play, he also enjoys chilling out with his people on the sofa or his dog bed. Forrest is really good in the car and walks well on a leash, but can pull if he sees something interesting. He is easily redirected, because he desperately wants to please you. Forrest would love a home with another dog (or several) to play with. He can sometimes overwealm smaller dogs with his exuberant play style, but if they tell him to back off, he will. Dogs his size really love to play with him, including his buddy, a dog selective alpha-female. He exudes friendliness that most dogs can see a mile off. He would probably do best in a home without small kids at least until he gets his obedience training down. He is a big goofball and may knock them over! As his training continues, Forrest will be one of those dogs that all of your friends will say "I want a dog just like him!" Please come meet this happy-go-lucky dude today!
