Angie's Story...
My name is Angie, one day I was wandering around looking very lonely and lost so this nice lady picked me up to me to the vet and I checked out in excellent health. She asked them to up date me on my shots and have me spayed so I spent the night with the vet and the next day after my surgery she took me into Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary. The nice people here gave me a comfortable warm place to rest while I healed up.

After I was feeling better I was able to go into the cattery with the other cats and enjoy the television, the nice places to lay around and make friends with some of the other cats that are now my roommates. I really enjoy it here but I would really like to have a home I can call my own.

I love to play and cuddle with the nice people that care for me here and when the really nice people that come to visit with treats show up I get super-excited.

I bet if you come to Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary to meet me you will just have to take me home with come on what are you waiting for....lets be roomies.....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angie, a Port Clinton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Port Clinton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Port Clinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Clinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Clinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Clinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
