I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Xena's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Xena's Story...
Xena is a sweet girl, approximately 2 years old. She wants nothing more than to be with her people. She is okay with mediium sized and large dogs, but is not good with small dogs or cats. She has a high prey drive.

This dog will get out of a fence if left outside alone. She was previously in a shelter, adopted and returned to the shelter for not staying in the fence. GSRCA rescued her after her return to the shelter.

GSRCA needs a foster home for Xena. If you are interested, please fill out the online application and contact (The application fee of $25 is waived for foster home applications). Fostering is a short term commitment which allows one to help a previously discarded dog find the home he is best suited for. A foster home provides a safe environment, love, socialization, good food, monthly heartworm prevention and flea prevention if needed. It's a great feeling to help a dog in need!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xena, a Pike Road German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pike Road, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Pike Road.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pike Road already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pike Road breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pike Road paves the way for another one to be saved.
