Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What a beautiful girl Roxie is both inside and out. She is sweet and gentle and very devoted to people. In fact, she truly wants to be with her people more than anything else in the world. She is a very smart girl, true to her mix, which we are fairly certain is Golden Retriever mixed with Australian Shepherd.
Roxie gets along well with other dogs, both larger and smaller, she is a touch on the dominant side and so needs her person to be a definite pack leader.
Roxie does great on a leash and in the crate. She is a quiet girl and we have not actually heard her bark at all - only making sounds that alert us to the fact that she needs out to potty.
We have not had a chance to introduce her to cats yet, but if you are interested in her and have a cat, please let us know so we can check.
Should you want to meet and possibly adopt Roxie, please email us for the application or go to our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and complete/submit the application found under the Resources tab.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
