My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

D. J.'s story is a bit of a mystery. A good Samaritan found him roaming around with a logging chain attached to his neck. The man cut it off of him and contacted his friend to try to find a safe place for him. There was no room at the shelter at the time, so our rescue was contacted. This poor boy's nails were so long they were curled under, making it hard for him to walk. He was also infested with fleas and ticks. The wonderful woman who brought him to us had already gotten all of that taken care of before he got here,..another angel for D. J. This very sweet guy needed some attention to clear up his badly infected ears, and with proper nutrition and care his coat has been returned to a shiny beautiful condition. D. J. is a joy to work with and so eager to please. He gets along with the other rescue dogs and seems fine with children as well. He gets so excited to get any scrap of attention. Clearly this boy just wants to be loved.

If you have room in your home and heart for a new companion, D. J. is so deserving of a new life after the rough start he's had.
