Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Polly is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. She loves everyone and is simply a happy-go-lucky girl. She did her name from a physical deformity on her front left paw that makes her look like she is giving a Vulcan greeting (if you know Star Trek you'll get that). Her paw didn't develop properly but it doesn't affect her getting around or her beautiful attitude.
Polly gets along great with the medium and large sized dogs at her foster home. She does want to play with the smaller dogs too but they are a touch afraid of how fast she is and so we simply don't have them out at the same time. We have not exposed her to cats but have a feeling she would chase them in sport. She was exposed to livestock/animals of all kinds, though, as the home she came from was a working ranch.
Polly does great in a crate and in the car. She does well on leash too. What more could you ask for?
If you are interested in meeting/adopting Polly, please email us for the application or complete/submit one right from the resources tab on our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
