Jody's Story...
Adoption Pending. JODY is a healthy, friendly male 2 y/o Cocker / Pointer mix who was brought in from Reelfoot Lake by a kind lady. He had been abandoned and was going to campsites looking for food and playing with children he happened to meet. He weighs 37 pounds, is HW negative, current on shots and has been neutered. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Jody if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jody, a Union City Cocker Spaniel/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Pointer for sale in Union City, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Pointer dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Pointer breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
