Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COURTESY LISTING for ALLIE AND KAITIE. This dog is not at Oregon Dachshund Rescue. For information please contact Darlene at 360-521-2483; or Jenell at 503 313 3220.
Bonded pair of well loved dachshunds whose loving mom can no longer care for them due to her circumstances. There is lots of detailed information about their personalities and preferences, so we will just give the basics here. ALLIE is a small standard (23 pounds) spayed silver blue dapple, 9 years old. She loves to be near you (touching) but not necessarily on your lap, per se. That may be because her pal KAITIE, is taking up all the lap room available. She is a six year old red smooth. Both girls have wonderful personalities, and would bring happiness with them to their new home.
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.
