I am purebred, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

FOXXIE (R)'s Story...
Foxxie is a gorgeous young boxer, very sweet and really shy. She knows to sit and stay but has to be coaxed outside, but once out she is fine. Foxxie is about 2 yrs old and weighs 60 lbs. She was picked up as a stray on Sept. 12th. It appears Foxxie’s owners did not give her prevention so sadly she has tested positive for heartworms and should be treated right away. With treatment she should be good as new in no time. Talk to your vet about the best treatment. Keep in mind heartworms are NOT contagious from dog to dog. She is current on vaccines and will be spayed and micro chipped upon adoption. Her ID is 559702 and she is in run 80.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt FOXXIE (R). Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FOXXIE (R), a Marietta Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
