ZAPPA's Story...
Zappa is a gorgeous, happy boy. He was so happy to come outside today. His coloring is officially listed as 'tan and white' but we think that champagne is a more descriptive term for such a beautiful color. Zappa is a one year old, 54 pound Pit mix and Pit Bulls, when treated with love and respect, are among the most loyal and loving breed there is. Please don't let the bad publicity keep you from giving Zappa a chance. Zappa came to the shelter as a stray on 9/12 and is now available for adoption. Zappa is up to date with shots and will be neutered, heartworm tested, and micro-chipped upon adoption. Zappa is in cage 119 and his ID is 559694.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ZAPPA, a Marietta Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
