MEET KASSI....who looks and acts like a puppy! Look at the size of those paws!! This 4-5 yr old, charcoal and white, LhasaTzu only weighs 13 lbs, although she looks much bigger! She is very fluffy and cuddly! Kassi came from the Castaic Shelter, but was horribly matted. A volunteer there took the time to brush her out, so that she could come to us the cutie patootie she is! Kassi prances like a puppy, plays like a puppy and loves to snuggle like a puppy! Her teeth give her age away, but her former family probably never had them cleaned and who knows what she was eating. She is a little picky in that department and prefers wet to dry (but we're changing that!) One thing she doesn't like is other dogs getting near her food when she is eating (fine with people)! Would you? This little girl would be awesome in any home. She is quiet, even when she is left alone for a few hours. She would be great with kids and a family, or a single person, or a couple. She loves everyone almost as much as she loves attention and belly rubs! We do think that she might prefer being your one and only.....so she definitely could go as an only dog. She does like to mark outside, but not inside (she does lift her leg)! She seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees. Her nickname is Kissy Kassi, because she loves giving kisses to show her gratitude for being out of the shelter! We love her and want to make sure her next home is her last!

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
