It took a family who were at their cottage two weeks to catch this very handsome Leonberger/Golden mix who was loose in the woods. He was then tracked down to a local couple. The wife thought he was lost but the husband admitted to intentionally dumping him in the woods. They then decided they didn't want him anymore and brought his epilepsy medication to the dog catcher. Yes, he was on epilepsy medication and abandoned in the woods to fend for himself. According to old vet files, Bear was born in April 2005. He has been nothing but perfect at his foster home and gets along great with the other dogs there, both large and small, young and old. His epilepsy has been well controlled with inexpensive daily medication. Bear is a real gem of a dog and will make an excellent pet.
