Roscoe's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Roscoe's Story...
Roscoe is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua in need of the right home. He has been through quite a bit in the past few months. Barely surviving an attack from another dog who left him with a punctured lung, broken ribs and a leg injury just in itself makes him a dog that everyone can love. But he needs more that just love. Roscoe is in need of that special person who can understand his fear of other dogs. He needs someone who needs him for comfort and companionship. A home with no or older children would be best. He does not do well with other dogs (I can't blame him one bit), he is unsure about cats but with time he may learn to love them!! Despite Roscoe's injuries he is very active, it is hard to keep him in his kennel where he must spend most of his time so he can fully heal. He is however able to spend more and more time with his foster family outside of his kennel as he is getting stronger. His favorite thing to do is snuggle on the sofa with us. Roscoe has been working on potty training, after over a month in the kennel this seems to be a skill he needs to work on again but he is getting better everyday. Because of Roscoe's delicate situation I will be visiting all potential adopter's home for a meet and greet with the family. If you feel you can give Roscoe all that he needs please e-mail Ria at for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Wasilla Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Wasilla, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wasilla.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wasilla already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wasilla breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wasilla paves the way for another one to be saved.
