Here's what the humans have to say about me:
EMERALD is 1 of a litter of 5 kittens born approx. July 24, 2013. EMERALD & his brother, DIAMOND are waiting for their forever homes. EMERALD has some mild shaking of his head and body which is most likely caused by a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). CH is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition. His life expectancy is the same as a cat's without CH. It is important to remember that he isn't sick, weak or hurt; he's simply uncoordinated. Emerald's foster Mom would be happy to tell you how absolutely adorable he is & discuss how well he did in foster care. His tremors did not interfere with eating, drinking or using the litter box. He can do stairs, runs well, plays hard and has never toppled over. His symptoms are minimal. He is very loving & social & should not be an only pet. Ideally he should be adopted with his brother, Diamond.
WE WILL NOT ADOPT A SINGLE KITTEN THIS YOUNG INTO A HOME WHERE IT WILL BE ALONE FOR MORE THAN 4 HOURS. THIS IS WHY WE ADOPT KITTENS IN PAIRS OR TO A HOME WITH A FRIENDLY COMPANION CAT.
