My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keeli is a very sweet girl that through no fault of her own found herself needing a new family when her original family was unable to continue caring for her. It is obvious that she was loved and she is a well socialized and friendly girl. Keeli has unusual colouring and a soft coat. She is a young adult and weighs 45 lbs however she is underweight and could definitely use a few more pounds.

Here is what her foster family had to say:

Keeli is a sweet, gentle, playful girl who will fit into any kind of home life setting. She's eager to please, easy going and patient and would be a great fit for a first time dog owner. She gets along great with other pets and people, however she is partial to male companionship. She is house trained and quiet in her crate. You can tell this little girl came from a loving home that provided structure and training. Whether you're having a rainy day in or going for a hike Keeli is game for anything. She is familiar with dog doors, quiet in the house and just ready to be best friends with everyone! I would believe that she came from a home with children as she is totally not fazed by them. She is cautious when first meeting strangers but takes her no time to warm up and easily becomes friends with everyone.

Keeli has moderate energy. She loves to go for walks but is fine just chilling in the house. She is clean and quiet in the home and has no issues with staying alone when you have to go out. She loves attention and is affectionate and loving. She especially loves belly rubs. Although cautious of new things, she has no known fears.

Although healthy, Keeli could definitely stand to gain a few pounds. Keeli has great house manners. She does check out counters but she has never stolen anything. She doesn't show an interest in chewing, but overall understands she should be playing with her toys and quiet in the house. She knows her basic commands such as sit, come, shake a paw but her down could use some work. Keeli pulls on the leash but responds to corrections. She is fully crate trained and can stay crated during a working day with no issue.

Keeli loves people overall and loves to be with you. She enjoys going for walks, riding in the car and is good with other dogs and cats. Keeli would do great as a second dog, a single's companion or even a first time dog owner. Keeli would do great anywhere!

If you are interested in giving Keeli her new forever home, please submit an application for consideration.
