My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Stella Bella and I am one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet!

I absolutely adore being with my people! I will follow you all around the house just to be by your side- but I'm also independent enough to respect when you need your space. I am around 7 years old but you would never know it by the way I play! I LOVE toys. Give me a toy bin full of squeaky toys and stuffed chewy things and I am in heaven. I have plenty of energy to go for long jogs with you if you are the type but am just as content to stop and smell the flowers on walks. I'm really the best mix of personality you could ask for- energetic and fun outside and cuddly and calm indoors. I would love to follow you around the house and lay softly snoring at your feet(or by your side) all day. I am so quiet and gentle, you might not even know I am there! I may even roll over for some tummy rubs (okay, that's not a maybe, I will definitely want tummy rubs!). I am totally house-trained, almost never bark, and am okay hanging out on the couch all day, even if you aren't home.

My absolute favorite thing(after belly rubs and stopping to smell the flowers) is car rides! If you are someone who needs a good navigator in your passenger seat, I'm your dog!

I had a rough life before coming into rescue, but despite being treated so poorly, I am still the nicest, sweetest girl you will ever meet! I need to work on my leash manners, but I do great with a good harness.

I am already spayed, completely house-trained, and up to date with my shots. While I am okay with most other dogs outside of the house, and stellar(get it? Stella-r!) with cats, I need to be the only canine recipient of your attention! I know how to sit, and lie down and I am a quick learner. In one foster home I learned meal-time manners(sit before breakfast! sit before dinner!) and impressed my foster mom with taking a seat(unasked!) in the hallway when I saw her pick up my harness and leash. I really just want to make you happy and spend time with you!

I have waited such a long time to find the right family who will love me as much as I love them! My foster parent is willing to answer any questions that you may have about me.

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
