After several days we started to worry! It was another hot summer afternoon as my buddies and I wait in the backyard. Still, no sign of our family!!!! I didn’t want to panic; so I went over that day in my head. We watched as they took everything out of the house and loaded it into the cars. They left and came back several times. What happened to them? They are coming back for us, aren’t they? I kept reassuring my buddies; that they wouldn’t leave us, we are part of the family too! Well, the next day our world came crashing down. I felt like such a fool, the look on everyone’s faces! Animal control was here to take us away! I lost it; I cried aloud, you can’t take us, what’s going to happen to us!!! I learned the hard truth later, that our family had abandoned us! Once at the shelter, I got to share a kennel with one of my buddies; until she got adopted. I said a prayer for her, the others and one for me that night. I was overwhelmed with joy the next morning when they told me that I was getting out of here and going with a rescue. So, that’s my story. My name is Danny and I am 1 ½ years old. My foster parents will tell you a lot of great things about me, they are very nice people! I like to snuggle and cuddle; I learned the doggie dog in 2 seconds! I like to play with other canines. I love people of all ages. Love, going for car rides and getting dropped off at the groomers. Yes, there is nothing wrong with a boy who enjoys a day at the spa! I am looking for someone who is not afraid of commitment. If you want a loyal, cute, friendly, cute; oh, did I say cute already! Just kidding, seriously, I am looking for a companion for life.
