Colleen's Story...
12 week old Colleen came to Sunny Saints with her sister Shannon from a local shelter where they were picked up as strays that went unclaimed. Colleen is the stronger willed of the two sisters and the definite leader. She is curious and and a mischief maker in her foster home! She enjoys a good snuggle, but also wants to explore her surroundings and see what's what. She weighs approximately 30 pounds, so will be a good sized girl as she grows up. She is working on her potty training, but her adopters will need to keep up that training so she will be a good indoor dog. If you are interested in adopting Colleen, please fill out and submit an adoption application from our web site at www.sunnysaints.org and you will be contacted shortly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colleen, a Bellflower St. Bernard puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard puppy from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
