Perry's Story...
"Are you looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and happy little dog? Take a look at me! My name is PERRY, and I'm a one-and-a-half-year-old Chihuahua mix who's looking for a new best friend. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I love to go for walks, and I thoroughly enjoy playing with other dogs. Did somebody say "dog park?" I like to have fun, but I also like to settle down for a good snuggle. And did you notice my shiny, healthy coat? I'm a little careful when I first meet someone, but I'll warm up in no time. I'd do best in a home where the kids are older and considerate of me. You'll be happy to know that I've already been house trained, too. Please come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can spend some time together in the shelter's great play yard. Maybe you could toss a ball around for me, and maybe I can sit on your lap. I hope to see you soon! Love, Perry" Kennel #56

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Perry, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
