My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Once in awhile a dog is surrendered to a shelter by its owner for truly unfortunate circumstances and it breaks everyone's heart: the owner's, the shelter director's and the dog's. That was Bailey's story, surrendered by a man who loved him so deeply yet fell on hard times that forced him to give up Bailey. Bailey was so disoriented and confused at the high-kill shelter, he began to deteriorate in that stark environment. A wonderful smaller group agreed to take him in and Bailey is finally beginning to have faith that life is going to be alright again. He is an awesome boy and we can't imagine his owner's pain of letting him go. Bailey is very loving and has a quiet, calm personality and gets along so well with the other dogs, puppies, and all the volunteers including the children that come by to play with him and walk him. The really unusual thing about him is, he "talks" to people -- he has a sweet, soulful voice that almost sounds like he's trying to form words to tell you what he's thinking. It is so endearing and makes him just that much more special . . . and that much sadder that he is still in a shelter environment. Bailey is about 2 - 3 years old, he is a tall, lanky 55 pounds and could use about 15-20 more, and he is a very healthy boy. We have no idea what his true mix is, but he is one of the most striking boys in person with his gorgeous auburn and caramel fur, and that everpresent smile!! We are hoping someone will take this boy into their hearts because we know he will be eternally grateful. If you can make Bailey believe in forever again, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting AND neuter included in his $300 adoption fee. Bailey is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE.
