Update: Lily hates being in a cage at Petco....so please look at her and if you have no other cats, please consider her,,,,she's a great cat and she so deserves a good home.
Lily is a special cat too. She's been to hell and back that's for sure. She was living in an apartment where two people were murdered in Central Falls. She was there with the dead bodies for five days, with no food, no water, no ventilation during the heat wave in July,2013. Needless to say she is a traumatized cat. When she was finally rescued by Animal Control,and went into a foster home, she hide in the back of her cage for three weeks. She finally began to trust the people she was with and then her foster home changed and she's back to hiding. But, we know that it will just take time and patience for her to get used to her new 'home'. We also know that this will probably happen to whatever home she goes to when she gets a new home for good this time.
**Update! Lily is out and about and loving to be petted! It just took some time and some patience. What a great cat she is! Very loving too. It's amazing how she's come into herself again!
She has been completely vetted, spayed, tested had all of her shots not what she needs in a loving, patient, understanding person to take her in and give her a chance to have a happy life and get over all she's been through.
You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are placed with the Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to any placement. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours. We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only a high end cat food. We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their placed. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be placed spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any placement of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!
