My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Initial Bio 9/25/13 : Don't let the name fool you! Cissy is an energetic 9lb., 6 year old girl who is making great strides in her social skills. Cissy was released from a puppy mill breeder so she didn't know how to behave around people and other animals and had difficultly walking on flat surfaces (most likely from being kept in a wire cage).
In a little over a month Cissy is accepting of her foster parents and likes to cuddle and comes (for the most part) when she is called. She still is shy and fearful around people she doesn't know and is hesitant to approach visitors. Cissy is tolerating her foster brother and sister but is 'not' accepting of visiting dogs. On the other hand Cissy pays no mind to the house cats and ignores them completely.
Health wise Cissy has healed from being spayed and has also healed from having a cyst removed from her armpit. Her teeth are in fairly good shape.
Cissy likes to go for short walks on a leash and will follow you around without a leash in the back yard. Potty training is ongoing but for the most part she is getting the hang of doing her business outside.
Cissy requires lots of attention, encouragement and praise and would do well in a home that is a one dog setting.
